For example, in Japan, Yamazaki Baking Company saw a great demand for premium bakery products, espe- cially in bread and pastry varieties, by the consumers. • The growing expansions and collaborations by bakery equipment brands to produce enhanced and technological equipment solutions are greatly influencing the bakery manu- facturing companies to produce a wide variety of bakery prod- ucts. For instance, in April 2018, Heat and Control (US) collab- orated with Ishida Co., Ltd. (Japan) for providing its customers with full “end-to-end” processing and packaging solutions. Further, in February 2019, Bühler (Switzerland) acquired Haas (US), to expand in India by adding a baking oven manufactur- ing plant to its service and support facility in the country. HIGH DEGREE OF INVESTMENTS BY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS Various industry giants such as GEA Group AG, Bühler, and JBT offer a wide range of equipment, globally. Look- ing at the growing demand, manufacturers are increas- ingly inclined to make investments in the global market. November 2018 Rheon Automatic Machinery Rheon Automatic Machinery expanded its production facility center by opening an advanced manufacturing facility in New Jersey, US, with fully-equipped large laboratory equipment January 2018 Bühler Bühler acquired the Haas Group (Austria), a leading manufacturer of cookie, wafer, and confec- tionery production systems. August 2018 Baker Perkins Baker Perkins launched Tweedy SuperCool mixer, which was designed to combine ingredients for enhancing bowl cooling with advanced control technology to provide precise management of dough temperature in any climate. The product would be suitable for high-output plant baker- ies making tin and pan bread, burger buns, rolls & pizza bases, including the sourdough, liquid sponge & sponge, and dough processes. April 2018 Heat and Control Heat and Control entered into a collaboration with Ishida Co., Ltd. (Japan) for providing its customers with full “end to end” processing and packaging solutions.
