Nonetheless, it is stated that food surfaces or packaging can carry the virus. For this reason, we must comply with the necessary hygiene rules instead of keeping away from and worried about food and packaging. The food sector also must take measures to protect itself from the pandemic. In order to maintain the movement of food along the food chain, all stakeholders on the food must contribute to the chain. The aim here is to eliminate consumer concerns and to protect food safety and public health. Bugünkü bilgiler ışığında gıdaların Covid-19 için doğrudan bulaş kaynağı ol- madığını biliyoruz. Bununla beraber gıda yüzeyleri veya ambalajlarının virüsü taşıyabileceği belirtiliyor. Bu nedenle de gıda ve ambalajlarından korunmak ve endişe etmek yerine gerekli hijyen kurallarına uymalıyız. Pandemiden ko- runmak için gıda sektörü de önlem almak zorunda. Gıdaların besin zinciri boyunca hareketini sürdürmek için gıda üzerindeki tüm paydaşların zincire katkıda bulunması gerekmektedir. Burada ki amaç tüketici endişelerini orta- dan kaldırmak, gıda güvenliği ve halk sağlığını korumaktır. COVİD-19’un Gıda Güvenliği Üzerindeki Etkileri The COVID-19 pandemic, one of the biggest disasters of our century, has become a huge world problem in the context of the economy, agriculture, tourism and security, rather than just a health problem. Food security has been one of the areas threatened by the pan- demic from the first moment. Thus, we have learned once again how important it is to sustain the chain of food safety from farm to fork sadder but wiser. In order for this chain to run properly, con- sumers have a great responsibility on top of producers. Son yüzyılda yaşanan en büyük fela- ketlerden biri olan COVID-19 pandemisi, sadece bir sağlık sorunu olmaktan çıkıp, bugün ekonomi, tarım, turizm ve güven- lik bağlamında devasa bir dünya sorunu haline geldi. Pandeminin ilk andan itiba- ren tehdit ettiği alanların başında ise gıda güvenliği geliyor. İşte bu yüzden çiftlikten sofraya gıda güvenliği zincirinin kırılma- masının ne kadar önemli olduğunu bir kez daha acı tecrübelerle öğrenmiş olduk. Bu zincirin sağlıklı bir şekilde devam etmesi için üreticiler kadar tüketicilere de büyük sorumluluk düşüyor. Effects of COVID-19 on Food Safety
