In the state- ment made by the chamber, it was noted that current pro- fessional issues were discussed at the regular Board of Directors meeting for October, and the following informa- tion was given: “Flour prices, energy costs and the lack of qualified personnel in the bakeries, which are among our uninterrupted and constantly increasing cost items. It was agreed that it became mandatory to reflect these costs to our production and that the demands of our tradesmen should be notified to the relevant institutions at once.” On the other hand, Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Bak- ers, Erdogan Cetin, said the following: “Our bakers are at the forefront of the business lines that have been affected the most by the economic conditions we have been in in recent months. We all know how many times our energy, labor, electricity and all inputs, especially flour prices and raw materials, have increased. It is impossible not to know this anymore and to say the oppo- site. In addition to many problems of our bakers, the excessive increase in our costs is the first priority. The production capacities of our bakers in Istanbul are decreasing day by day. Although dealer profit rates in bread are determined by the legal framework; unfortunately, it is not implemented in practice, since adequate inspections are not carried out by authorized institutions. To ignore these problems now is to ignore a large industry that employs 300,000 people, including its employees.” Istanbul Chamber of Bakers: Don’t ignore our problems anymore İstanbul Fırıncılar Odası: Artık sorunlarımızı duymazdan gelmeyin İstanbul Fırıncılar Odası’nın Ekim ayı yönetim kurulu toplantısına fırıncıların sorunları damga vurdu. Odadan yapılan açıklamada Ekim ayı olağan Yönetim Kurulu top- lantısında güncel mesleki konuların görüşüldüğü belirti- lerek şu bilgilere yer verildi; “Kesintisiz ve sürekli artış gösteren maliyet kalemlerimizin başında olan un fiyatları, enerji maliyetleri ve fırınlarda kalifiye personel eksikliği. Bu maliyetleri üretimimize yansıtmanın zorunlu hale gel- diği, ilgili kurumlara esnafımızın taleplerinin defaten bildi- rilmesi konusunda mutabakata varıldı.” Öte yandan İstanbul Fırıncılar Odası Başkanı Erdoğan Çetin yaptığı açıklamada şu bilgilere yer verdi: “Son ay- larda içinde bulunduğumuz ekonomik koşullardan, en çok etkilenen iş kollarının başında fırıncı esnafımız gel- mektedir. Başta un fiyatları ve hammaddelerimiz olmak üzere enerji, işçilik, elektrik ve tüm girdilerimizin kaç kat arttığı hepimizce malumdur. Bunu artık bilmemek ve ak- sini söylemek mümkün değildir. Fırıncı esnafımızın birçok sorunlarının yanında an itibariyle maliyetlerimizin aşırı ar- tışı ilk öncelik taşımaktadır. İstanbul'daki fırıncı esnafımı- zın üretim kapasiteleri gün geçtikçe düşmektedir. Ekmekte bayi kâr oranları yasal çerçeve ile belirlen- miş olmasına rağmen; maalesef yetkili kurumlarca yeterli denetimler yapılmadığı için pratikte uygulanmamaktadır. Artık bu sorunlarımızı duymazdan gelmek, çalışanları ile birlikte 300.000 kişiye istihdam sağlayan büyük bir sek- törü yok saymaktır.” Istanbul Chamber of Bakers Board of Directors held its regular monthly meeting for October. Rising flour prices and energy costs were discussed in the board. The increased input costs were requested to be reflected on bread prices. İstanbul Fırıncılar Odası Yönetim Kurulu, ekim ayı ola- ğan toplantısını gerçekleştirdi. Kurulda artış gösteren un fiyatları, enerji maliyetleri ele alındı. Artan girdi ma- liyetlerinin ekmek fiyatlarına yansıtılması istendi.
