Turkish pasta producers, which are active particularly in the African market, are in competi- tion both within themselves and with rival countries to sur- vive in this market. This inevitably leads to a reduction in the prices. Among the top 20 countries in World Pasta Export, unfortunately, Turkey is the country that applies the lowest price per ton. While the price of one ton of pasta of Turkey, which has a share of 6.4 percent in the world pasta export, is 519 dollars, the figure that Japan, whose share is 1.6 per- cent, receives from a ton of pasta export is 3,812 dollars. The public authority, taking into account the markets in the country's pasta export, canceled the obligation to use durum wheat in the production of pasta as of October 2021. While some industry representatives support this decision, others defy it. Abdülkadir Külahçıoğlu, Chairman of Pasta Industrialists' Association of Turkey, said, “We have no objection to the şu ülkeler olduğu görülüyor. Kamu otoritesi ülkenin makarna ihracatında pazarları dikkate alarak durum buğdayından makarna üretim zo- runluğunu Ekim 2021 itibariyle kaldırdı. Bazı sektör tem- silcileri bu kararı desteklerken bazıları da bu karara karşı çıkıyor.
