Balcı stated that a "reasonable" price increase in bread prices will be on the agenda for the tradesmen to survive. Stating that they have to defend both the producer and the con- sumer, Balcı said, "Even though there are price and basis weight differences between the provinces, we have several provinces with a price of 12.5 liras. When 200-gram-loaf is sold for 2.5 li- ras, the kilogram price corresponds to 12.5 liras. In addition, when 250-gram-loaf is sold for 3 liras, the kilogram price corresponds to 12 liras. In other words, we can say that although there has been a significant price increase in many of our inputs in the past year, the price increase has been 20 percent. We foresee a rea- sonable increase in 2022. The minimum wage increased by 50 percent. There is almost no input without an increase. A reason- able price increase in bread prices will be brought to the agenda for the tradesmen to survive. If you ask 'What do you mean by a reasonable level?', we are working on an increase right after Jan- uary in a way to ensure that the price of bread does not exceed 14-15 liras. This does not mean that bread prices will increase in January. All these serious increases will be announced by the public. The public needs to appreciate the reasonable increase in bread while other severe increases are in front of their eyes.” “Bread price won't exceed 15 lira/kg” “Ekmeğin kilogramı 15 lirayı geçmeyecek” Türkiye Fırıncılar Federasyonu Başkanı Halil İbrahim Balcı, fe- derasyon genel merkezinde basın toplantısı düzenledi. Balcı, es- nafın ayakta durabilmesi için ekmek fiyatlarında "makul" bir fiyat artışının gündeme geleceğini belirtti. Ekmek konusunda hem üreticiyi hem de tüketici düşünmek zorunda olduklarını belirten Balcı, "İllere göre fiyat ve gram farklı- lığı olsa da 12 liranın üzerinde 12,5 lira olan birkaç vilayetimiz var. 200 gram ekmek 2,5 liradan satıldığında kilogram fiyatı 12,5 lira- ya denk geliyor. Bunun yanında 250 gram ekmek 3 liraya satıldı- ğında da kilogram fiyatı 12 liraya denk gelmekte. Yani geçtiğimiz yıl içerisinde birçok girdimize ciddi anlamda fiyat artışı meydana gelmesine rağmen fiyat artışının yüzde 20 olarak gerçekleştiğini söyleyebiliriz. 2022 yılında makul bir artışla ekmeğin fiyatını be- lirleyip, buna göre götürmeyi öngörüyoruz. Asgari ücret yüzde 50 arttı. İşletme giderlerinde artış olmayan kalem hemen hemen yok. Esnafın ayakta durabilmesi için ekmek fiyatlarında makul bir fiyat artışı gündeme gelecektir. 'Nedir makul seviye?' derseniz, 2021'de nasıl yüzde 20 gerçekleştiyse bu sene de ocak ayın- dan sonra yüzde 20 bandında yani kilogramı 12 lira olan ekme- ğin fiyatının azami 14-15 lirayı geçmemesi için çalışma yapıyoruz. Bu hemen ocak ayında ekmek fiyatları artacak demek değildir. Bütün bu ciddi artışlar kamuoyunun gözü önünde olurken ek- mekteki makul artışı kamuoyunun takdir etmesi gerekiyor.” dedi.
