After the flour regulation was finally extended on June 1, Güldal made a statement on how the process would continue and said: "It was declared that the application that began last year will continue until the new harvest period. At the end of May, that is, when we come to the new harvest period, it is at the point of minimiz- ing flour prices. By providing flour to bread producers at a cheaper price by 35-40 percent in the market, the increase in flour-based bread prices was minimized. In this period when the fight against inflation is intense, it is planned that this pro- cess will be prolonged by TMO and the regulation program will continue until the next harvest period. This regulation will continue until the 2022-2023 harvest period." "TMO wants to buy as much of the crop our producers pro- duced as possible and enhance our stocks internally. Within the scope of its regulation programs, TMO needs to enhance a stock from September until the next harvest period, which we call the 2022-2023 consumption period. The reason for forming these advantages is to enhance stocks from the domestic mar- ket. Last year, we made regulations to keep the amount of the product produced in small quantities to the extend needed in Turkey. This year, Turkey is experiencing a period of almost self- sufficient crop production. This year differs from the previous year in this aspect," TMO President Ahmet Güldal concluded. Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) Genel Müdürü Ahmet Güldal, ekmek fiyatlarını frenleyen un regülasyonuna yönelik önemli açıklamalarda bulundu. Güldal, un regülasyonunun son olarak 1 Haziran’da yeniden uzatılmasının ardından sürecin nasıl devam edeceğine dair yaptığı açıklamada, "Geçen yıl başlatılan uygu- lamanın yeni hasat dönemine kadar devam edeceği ilan edil- mişti. Mayıs ayı sonuna; yani yeni hasat dönemine geldiğimizde, un fiyatlarının minimize edilmesi noktasında ekmek üreticilerine piyasanın yüzde 35-40 oranında daha ucuz fiyattan un teslim edilmesini sağlayarak undan kaynaklı ekmek fiyatlarındaki artı- şın minimize edilmesi sağlandı. Enflasyon ile mücadelenin yoğun bir şekilde yaşandığı bu dönemde, bu sürecin TMO tarafından sürdürülmesi ve önümüzdeki hasat dönemine kadar regülasyon programının devam etmesi planlanmakta. 2022-2023 hasat dö- nemine kadar bu regülasyon devam edecek" dedi. TMO Başkanı Ahmet Güldal şunları söyledi: "Üreticilerimizin üretmiş oldukları mahsulün fazlasını mümkün olduğu kadar TMO olarak almak ve içeriden stoklarımızı oluşturmak istiyoruz. 2022- 2023 tüketim dönemi dediğimiz Eylül ayından bir sonraki hasat dönemine kadar TMO’nun regülasyon programları kapsamında mutlaka stok oluşturması gerekiyor. Bu avantajların sağlanmasının sebebi yerel piyasadan stok oluşturmak. Geçen sene, Türkiye’de az miktarda üretilen ürünün, ihtiyaç kadar olan miktarını Türkiye’de bulundurmak için düzenlemeler yaptık. Bu yıl Türkiye, hemen he- men kendine yetebilecek miktarda mahsul üretimi dönemini yaşı- yor. Dolayısıyla bu yönüyle geçen yıldan ayrışıyor."
