Making a statement on his social media account, İFO Presi- dent Erdoğan Çetin said, “Bread production costs in Istanbul are one and a half times higher than in other provinces. Bakers in Istanbul have become unable to bear the cost burden. In particular, our natural gas and electricity expenses correspond to almost 70 percent of the total cost. It has become an abso- lute necessity to subsidize the producers of bread, which is the most basic food item of our citizens, in these cost items.” Kule Fırın Grup business owner Serkan Sokur said that IFO President Erdoğan Çetin's call has to be uttered loudly by the sector representatives. Serkan Sokur asked Minister of Agri- culture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci, Minister of Treasury and Fi- nance Nureddin Nebati, and Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş from his social media account to support the bread pro- ducer for personnel and energy expenses. “Bread producers, who are in a deadlock after the last energy hikes, must be giv- en support for their personnel and energy expenses. You will not be able to find a bakery to buy bread for your home very soon. Sosyal medya hesabından açıklama yapan İFO Başkanı Er- doğan Çetin, “İstanbul’da ekmek üretim maliyetleri diğer iller- den bir buçuk kat daha fazla. İstanbul fırıncı esnafımız, maliyet yükünü kaldıramaz hale geldi. Özellikle doğalgaz ve elektrik giderlerimiz, ürettiğimiz ekmeğin maliyetinin neredeyse yüz- de 70’ine denk gelmektedir. Vatandaşımızın en temel gıda maddesi olan ekmeğin üreticilerine bu maliyet kalemlerinde sübvansiyon mutlak bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir” dedi. Kule Fırın Grup işletme sahibi Serkan Sokur da İFO Başkanı Erdoğan Çetin’in çağırısının sektör temsilcileri tarafından yük- sek sesle dile getirilmesi gerektiğini söyledi. Serkan Sokur, sosyal medya hesabından Tarım ve Orman Bakanı Vahit Kiriş- ci, Hazine ve Maliye Bakanı Nureddin Nebati ve Ticaret Baka- nı Mehmet Muş’u alıntılayarak ekmek üreticilerinin personel ve enerji giderleri için desteklenmesini istedi. Sokur, “Yapı- lan son enerji zamlarından sonra iyice çıkmaza giren Ekmek Üreticileri, personel ve enerji giderleri için desteklenmelidir. Çok yakında evinize ekmek alacak fırın bulamayacaksınız. Umarım hiç bir üretici veya esnaf işyerini kapatıp evine kafası önüne eğilmiş olarak gitmez.”
